When you join AFWA, you also become a member of the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation (CFWF), a national umbrella group. Members can network at the CFWF annual conference every fall, and receive a national newsletter to keep updated on events from across Canada. Part of the conference involves the opportunity to enter the CFWF annual awards competition. You membership expands your contact internationally. With your membership, you’re also part of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ). The IFAJ publishes a newsletter, organizes an annual congress in a different country each year, and maintains a database of contacts and journalists to help you with stories or work exchanges.
